Domain Policy
This policy governs all domain name services provided by RUSD LTD, including registration, renewal, management, DNS configuration, and transfers. By purchasing or managing a domain through RUSD LTD, you agree to be bound by this policy alongside our Terms & Conditions.
1. DOMAIN OWNERSHIP & REGISTRATION
All domains are registered using the details provided by the Client at the time of order. The Client is responsible for ensuring that all registrant information is accurate, complete, and kept up to date.
Administrative Control & Service Arrangement:
Where a domain is purchased by RUSD LTD as part of a service setup, the domain may be registered in the Client’s name; however, RUSD LTD shall retain administrative control, management rights, and service authority over the domain during the initial registration period (typically 12 months), as part of the agreed service.
Service-Based Control Period:
During the initial registration period, the domain forms part of a bundled service provided by RUSD LTD. The Client acknowledges that while they may be listed as registrant, full operational control, including DNS management, transfer permissions, and registrar-level actions, may be restricted or managed by RUSD LTD in accordance with this policy.
Transfer of Full Control Upon Renewal:
Upon successful renewal of the domain by the Client after the initial registration period, and subject to full payment of all outstanding invoices, RUSD LTD will release administrative restrictions and grant the Client full operational control of the domain.
Early Buyout Option:
The Client may request full control of the domain prior to the end of the initial registration period upon payment of a £49.99 Administrative Buyout Fee per domain, in addition to any outstanding balances. Upon receipt of cleared funds, RUSD LTD will facilitate release of control and transfer access where applicable, subject to registry rules.
Retention of Title (Service Rights):
Notwithstanding that the domain may be registered in the Client’s name, all service-related rights, administrative control mechanisms, and management access provided by RUSD LTD shall remain the property of RUSD LTD until all fees and contractual obligations have been fully satisfied. RUSD LTD reserves the right to restrict or suspend management access where payment obligations are not met.
Right of First Refusal on Expiry:
Where a domain registered via RUSD LTD is not renewed by the Client, the Client agrees that RUSD LTD shall have the first right to retain, renew, or acquire the domain for its own use or resale, subject to registry rules and availability.
Payment Condition:
No transfer of full operational control or release of administrative restrictions shall occur until all associated fees (including setup, registration, renewal, and buyout fees where applicable) are paid in full and cleared.
Verification:
Domain registries may require identity or email verification. Failure to complete verification may result in suspension or cancellation of the domain by the registry.
WHOIS Accuracy:
The Client must maintain accurate and current contact information where applicable.
2. DOMAIN RENEWALS & EXPIRY
Clients are responsible for renewing domains prior to expiry once full control has been granted.
- Renewal notices are sent as a courtesy only and are not guaranteed.
- Failure to renew may result in domain suspension, loss, or third-party registration.
- Expired domains may enter a redemption period with additional recovery fees set by registries.
Non-Renewal:
If the Client does not proceed with renewal, RUSD LTD reserves the right, subject to registry rules, to retain or acquire the domain in line with the Right of First Refusal clause above.
Liability:
RUSD LTD shall not be liable for domain loss due to non-renewal, failed payments, or outdated contact details.
3. DOMAIN TRANSFERS (OUTGOING)
All transfer requests must be submitted via the official Client Portal.
Eligibility:
Transfer requests will only be permitted where:
- The initial service period has been completed or an Early Buyout has been processed;
- All invoices are fully paid;
- No active disputes, chargebacks, or fraud flags exist;
- The domain is eligible under registry rules.
Self-Service (Free):
Clients may manage their own transfers via the
Client Portal under ‘My Domains’.
Administrative Support Fee:
A £49.99 Administrative Handling Fee applies where manual assistance is required.
Registry Lock:
Domains may be subject to registry lock periods outside RUSD LTD’s control.
No Guarantee:
RUSD LTD does not guarantee successful transfer completion.
4. DOMAIN TRANSFERS (INCOMING)
Clients must ensure correct transfer details are provided. RUSD LTD is not responsible for failures due to incorrect information or external restrictions.
5. DNS, PROPAGATION & SERVICE INTERRUPTION
- DNS propagation may take up to 48 hours.
- Temporary disruption may occur.
Disclaimer:
RUSD LTD shall not be liable for any loss resulting from DNS changes or delays.
6. THIRD-PARTY DEPENDENCY
All services rely on third-party providers. RUSD LTD has no control over registry decisions.
No Liability:
RUSD LTD is not liable for third-party actions.
7. NON-PAYMENT, SUSPENSION & CHARGEBACKS
Non-payment may result in suspension or restriction of domain-related services.
Chargebacks will result in immediate restriction and possible termination.
8. NO REFUNDS
All domain services are non-refundable once processed.
9. CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES
The Client is responsible for lawful use, account security, and backups.
10. DISPUTES & DOMAIN SEIZURE
Domains may be subject to disputes or registry action. RUSD LTD is not responsible for outcomes.
No Liability:
RUSD LTD shall not be liable for losses arising from disputes.
