Digital Goods Service Refund Policy

 

At RUSD LTD, we prioritize the quality of our bespoke digital services. Because our products (Web Design, Hosting, SEO, and Map Listings) are digital in nature and involve immediate resource allocation, our refund policy is strictly defined by the type of customer and the stage of the project.

1. CONSUMER (PERSONAL USE) RIGHTS

If you are purchasing services for personal use (not for a business), you are protected under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 and Consumer Contracts Regulations.

  • The 14-Day Cooling-Off Period: You have the right to cancel within 14 days of your order.
  • 🔴 Important Exception: By requesting that RUSD LTD begin work on your web design, SEO, or hosting setup immediately, you acknowledge that you waive your right to a full refund once the service has been substantially performed or resources (like domains/servers) have been provisioned.

2. BUSINESS-TO-BUSINESS (B2B) POLICY

If you are a business, sole trader, or entity using our services for commercial purposes, the 14-day cooling-off period does not apply. All B2B sales are final.

  • Service Initiation: Once work has commenced (including initial audits, wireframing, or server provisioning), no refunds will be issued.
  • SEO & Ranking Services: Refunds are not provided based on ranking fluctuations or third-party platform decisions (Google/Meta).

3. GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR DISCRETIONARY REFUNDS

We evaluate refund requests on a case-by-case basis under the following limited circumstances:

Non-Delivery of Service:

If RUSD LTD fails to initiate your project or provide the agreed-upon digital infrastructure within the timeframe specified in your brief due to internal technical failure.

Major Defects:

If the final web design contains critical functional errors that RUSD LTD is unable to rectify after a reasonable number of attempts.

4. NON-REFUNDABLE ITEMS

The following are strictly non-refundable once purchased or initiated:

  • Domain Name Registrations (registered instantly via third-party registrars).
  • Monthly Hosting Fees already utilized.
  • SEO Audit reports and completed Map Listing submissions.
  • Any custom design work already approved at the “Proof” stage.
